Dalwada : Indian Snack

Dalwada is a kind of Indian farsan made with different lentils. The batter is made for frying,but you can also make pudla out of it. This variety is served with fried green chillies and raw onion.Dalwada is made all around India.

Dalwada recipe is given to us by home chef Rinku . She makes variety of food for her family, she says that she enjoys making food as much as she enjoys singing. Though she is not a professionally trained singer but believe me anybody would love to hear her sing

INGRIDIENTS TO MAKE DALWADA

  • 1 cup- chana daal
  • 1 cup- split moong daal
  • 3- green chillies
  • 1 Inch- ginger
  • 12- cloves of garlic
  • Handful of green coriander
  • 1- onion
  • 1 tsp- jeera
  • 1/8 tsp- hing
  • Salt as per taste
  • Oil for frying
  • Green chillies
  • ,green chutni for serving

STEPS

STEP 1

Soak both daals in different pots for at least 4 to5 hours. After 4/5 hours strain the water from daals and grind them into the mixer. Don’t make smooth paste,but grind it coarsely. Add ginger garlic chillies and coriander in daals. grind them too.

STEP 2

After grinding the dals .mix the coarsely grind daals together. add salt,hing and jeera.mix well for at least 2 to 3mins

STEP 3

Make small balls from daal’s mixer and fry them into hot oil keep stirring for next 3/4 mins

STEP 4Your delicious, mouthwatering,protein rich snack ready to eat….serve vadas with fried chilled, slides onions and green chutney.enjoy👍🏻
