Dudhi batata veggie is a well known sabji normally made in every gujarati family. This sabji goes well with bhakhri,paratha and khichdi. Hardly this sabji takes 10 minutes to cook and the ingredients are also basic.
Dudhi batata sabji is made by saheli Neha Rajpara. According to her this recipe is favourable during fasting and it also helps people with gastric problems.The month of Shravan is observed by many people as a fasting month so during this month one should eat this and get relieved from gaseous problems.
Ingredients
- Oil/Desi Ghee
- 1/2 sp Jeera
- 1/2 sp Red Chilly Powder
- 1/4sp Black Pepper Powder
- 1/4 sp Roasted Jeera Powder
- 6-7 Curry Leaves
- 2 sp Garlic Chilly Paste
- 1/2 sp Sugar
- Salt as needed
- Approx. 100 gm Dudhi
- 100 gm Batata
- 1/2 sp Lime Juice
- Water if needed
STEPS TO MAKE DUDHI BATATA VEGGIE
Step 1
Put 1tbsp Ghee or 1/2 tbsp Oil in the cooker.
Add cumin in it and stir till it becomes brown in color and then add curry leaves.
Step 2
Add crushed ginger, chilly and black pepper and mix them.
Step 3
Add pieces of Dudhi-Batata and mix them as well.
Step 4
Add red chilly powder, salt, sugar and mix them.
Step 5
Add 1/2 cup of water and close the lid of cooker.
Turn of the gas after 2-3 whistles.
Step 6
Add lemon while serving. Your recipe is ready.
