The below mentioned ingredients serves four people

INGREDIENTS TO MAKE STUFFED SHIMLA MIRCH

  1. Capsicum (शिमला मिर्च) – 6 pieces
  2. Potato (आलू) – 3-4 boiled
  3. Coriander leaves (धनिया पत्ती)
  4. Green chili (हरी मिर्च) – 1-2
  5. Ginger (अदरक) – 1 inch
  6. Garam masala (गरम मसाला) – 1/4 tsp
  7. Roasted cumin powder (भुना जीरा पाउडर) – 1/2 tsp
  8. Coriander powder (धनिया पाउडर) – 1 tsp
  9. Turmeric powder (हल्दी पाउडर) – 1/4 tsp
  10. Salt (नमक) – as per taste
  11. Red chili powder (लाल मिर्च पाउडर) – 1/4 tsp
  12. Fennel seeds (सौंफ) – 1/2 tsp

INGREDIENTS TO MAKE GRAVY

  1. Oil (तेल) – 2-3 spoon
  2. Onion (प्याज) – 2
  3. Ginger (अदरक) – 1 spoon
  4. Kashmiri red chili powder (कश्मीरी लाल मिर्च पाउडर) – 1 tsp
  5. Tomato paste (टमाटर का पेस्ट) – 3
  6. Coriander powder (धनिया पाउडर) – 2 tsp
  7. Turmeric powder (हल्दी पाउडर) – 1/2 tsp
  8. Salt (नमक) – as per taste
  9. Roasted cumin powder (भुना जीरा पाउडर) – 1/2 tsp
  10. Sugar (चीनी) – 1/2 tsp * Curd (दही) – 1/2 bowl
  11. Melon seeds (तरबूज/खरबूज के बीज) – 2 tbsp soaked
  12. Roasted fenugreek leaves (कसूरी मेथी) – 1 tbsp
  13. Garam masala (गरम मसाला) – 1/4 tsp

HOW TO MAKE SHMILA MIRCH

STEP 1
  1. Take small size Capsicums, take out their seeds & make them seedless.
  2. Put them in the boiling water, cover them until they are soft
Step 1: Process the capsicum
STEP 2
  1. Take boiled and mashed Potatoes
  2. Add Coriander Leaves, Green Chilies, Ginger, Garam Masala, Cumin Powder, Coriander Powder, Turmeric Powder, Salt, Red Chili Powder and Fennel Seeds in it
  3. Mix them all.
  4. Now, fill the Potato filling in the hollow capsicums.
Step 2: Prepare the potato stuffing and fill the capsicums

HOW TO MAKE GRAVY

STEP 3
  1. In a pan, put Oil, chopped Onion, Ginger, Kashmiri Red Chili Powder, Tomato Puree, Coriander Powder, Turmeric Powder, Salt, Cumin Powder & Sugar.
  2. Cook them till the oil separates.
  3. Take out its red oil in a bowl by using a strainer and put the mixture in another bowl for cooling down.
STEP 4
  1. Take a mixer jar, put curd, soaked melon seeds
  2. Now, put the sabji mixture in it, grind them and make a paste.
STEP 5
  1. In a pan, put Oil & ground paste.
  2. Put Dry Fenugreek Leaves, Garam Masala and turn the flame slow.
  3. Then put Stuffed Capsicum in it. Cover them & cook them for 5-7 mins.
  4. Stuffed Capsicum in Gravy will get ready. Garnish it with grated Cottage Cheese & Red Oil.
