Sangita says that she loves to spend her spare time at home by cooking new varieties of food. She has tried out this halwa today and it came out so good that she decided to share it with her friends at Super Saheliya. Let us check out her recipe ๐Ÿ˜‹

INGREDIENTS FOR BOMBAY KARACHI HALWA

The below-mentioned ingredients serve 3 people

  1. 1/2 cup corn flour
  2. 1 and 1/2 cup water, to dissolve flour
  3. 1 and1/4 cup sugar
  4. 1/2 cup water, to dissolve sugar
  5. 3-4 tbsp pure ghee
  6. 1/4 cup cashew, almond and other dry fruits of your choice
  7. 1 tsp cardamom powder

HOW TO MAKE BOMBAY KARACHI HALWA FOR RAMADAN

STEP 1
  1. Firstly, dissolve the corn flour in water and keep it aside.
mix the corn flour and keep it aside
STEP 2
  1. Now turn the stove on and start preparing kind of chasni (sugar syrup)
  2. Add sugar and water
  3. Add one tsp of lime juice.
STEP 3
  1. Stir constantly, add corn flour mixture
  2. Turn the flame low, It will take approximately 6-8 minutes to stir
  3. Add food colour of your choice (Sangita has added Red colour here)
STEP 4
  1. Now it is time to add the cut-up dry fruits and cardamom powder and mix them well
  2. Keep stirring and start adding ghee one spoon at a time, will need total 4 to 5 spoon of ghee.
STEP 5
  1. When feel the mixture become thick, it is the time to pour it in a greased glass tray
  2. Let it cool outside for some time
  3. Place it in refrigerator for 3 to 4 hours to let it set
Store the halwa in refrigerator
STEP 6
  1. Remove the halwa from refrigerator after 4 hours
Look of the halwa after 4 hours of refrigeration
STEP 7
  1. Now cut up the halwa into small square pieces
  2. Your yummy halwa is now ready to serve
